Background
Sandy Rea is a leading practicing psychologist in Melbourne, who also frequently appears on national TV and radio discussing topical community and news headlines from a psychological lens. Sandy was seeking help to achieve a new suite of stills for use across her owned and operated platforms. The stills needed to achieve two specific agendas: portray Sandy in a professional manner, and stills for use across media and PR.

Approach
I led the stills production of Sandy’s spec photoshoot with photographer Mark Lobo. Out objective was to bring a certain moodiness and minimalism to the styles, so we created three specific setups for the photography: the first was capturing sandy against a dark green backdrop in wide shots, creating lots of negative space and positioning Sandy on a simple wooden chair against the backdrop. The second and third setups utilises dark grey tones - one against a clean grey backdrop, and the other against bluestone brickwork. Against these sombre colours we had Sandy dress in an all-white wardrobe, positioning her as a beacon of light against the darkness.
